Sandra Marchant, Certified Trichologist, Certified Natural Health Professional and, Clinical Aroma Therapist

A Certified Trichologist must have have completed the necessary courses as required by a reputable trichology institute. Mrs. Marchant received her MS from the International Institute of Trichology. Additionally, she is a certified Natural Health Professional and Herb Specialist.

It was a "yearning for learning" to understand why women and men suffer from hair loss that led her to the study of Trichology. The love of "locks" motivated her to seek and provide the proper care and treatment needed for healthy beautiful hair. Trichology is the scientific study of hair and scalp disorders. She was awarded 'Outstanding Academic Achievement in the Scientific Study of Hair and Scalp Disorder', and 'Student of the Year' by the International Institute of Trichology.

She will gather some personal information including your health history. Particular attention is given to any health issues you had experienced within the last 2-3 months including illnesses, beginning or ending medications, childbirth, breastfeeding, diet, stress, and regular menstrual cycles. Also queries regarding your family's health history and whether your relatives experienced any significant hair loss. Please visit to learn more about Healthful Resources.

She will carefully examine the scalp and hair thoroughly to assess the problem and its cause. A microscopic examination of the hair might be required to aid in the evaluation of the problem. She must then decide if treatment is necessary, and whether the problem is within her realm to treat or should be dealt with by a medical doctor. Treatment by her might consist of the application of topical formulations to the hair and scalp.

Some common illnesses that may lead to hair loss are bleeding ulcers, colitis, diabetes, depression, liver disease, pneumonia, thyroid imbalance, tumors, and tuberculosis. Stress is also a major factor in hair loss. Please visit to learn more about Healthful Resources.
